article imageReview: Heffron Drive's Kendall Schmidt soars on new single 'Parallel' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Apr 2, 2014 in Music
Big Time Rush's Kendall Schmidt has released a new single "Parallel," as part of his side project, electro-pop duo Heffron Drive.
In addition to Kendall Schmidt, the duo is made up of Dustin Belt on background vocals and guitar. Both members are originally from Kansas.
They released their new single independently on Schmidt's own label, TOLBooth Records.
Heffron Drive's songwriting is quite warm and honest on this tune. They use great allusions and vivid imagery to convey their message across. "Parallel" is very catchy, soothing and has a great beat to it. Once you hear it, "Parallel" is hard to get out of your head, no matter how hard you try.
The Verdict
Heffron Drive's single "Parallel" garners 4.5 out of 5 stars. This song is a substantial indication that Dustin Belt is one of music's best-kept secrets. As a duo, they are one of the most underrated acts in the music industry and they deserve all the success that is coming their way, especially with all of the fan support on their social networks. Hopefully there will be a lot more music from Kendall and Dustin in the future and that the radio airwaves will embrace this solid single.
