Review: Florida Georgia Line back with infectious new ‘Sippin’ on Fire’ (Includes first-hand account)

It is the third radio single from their latest studio album, which was released on their record label, Republic Nashville. “Sippin’ On Fire” is the follow-up to their laid-back single “Sun Daze.” It was co-penned by songwriters Rodney Clawson, Matt Dragstrem and Cole Taylor; moreover, long-time producer Joey Moi served as its producer.

Their song’s music video is neat, especially since they sing with their band surrounded by a “ring of fire.” Director Marc Klasfeld soared on its direction. Based on the video, it is evident that Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley know how to have fun. Melodically, it is slightly reminiscent of Blake Shelton’s “Sure Be Cool If You Did.”

The Verdict

Overall, Florida Georgia Line rocks on their new up-tempo single “Sippin’ On Fire.” It deserves to become their next No. 1 single. Along with their lead single “Dirt,” it ranks as one of the two best tracks on their Anything Goes album. It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
