article imageReview: Elizabeth Lyons takes fans on a ride on new single 'Jeep!' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Jul 6, 2014 in Music
Independent country singer Elizabeth Lyons released her newest upbeat single "Jeep!" on iTunes and it is fun summer anthem.
She co-wrote this feel-good tune with her producer, Matt Nolen, and in the song she even makes an allusion to Kenny Chesney. "All I hear is wind and Kenny Chesney in my jeep," she sings.
Lyons' vocals are clear and crystalline as ever and her song is up-tempo and liberating. It is the female compliment to the male-dominated country songs on radio that pertain to the subject matter of trucks or other vehicles.
"Tapping the gas to the beat. All I wanna feel is free, Like the way that I feel when I'm in my jeep, Sing along with the highway, Yeah I'm making it my way, Like there ain't no rules I gotta keep," she sings.
Most impressive about Lyons is that she writes songs from her own personal experiences and shares her stories with the world.
Be sure to check out "Jeep!" on the official iTunes homepage.
The Verdict
Overall, Elizabeth Lyons continues to be a breath of fresh air. She can write a song on any topic, take it and make it sound fresh and cool, despite its subject matter. "Jeep!" garners 4 out of 5 stars. Fans ought to take a ride in their cars or "jeeps" as they listen to this song on the radio or on their mp3 players. They certainly won't regret it.
