article imageReview: Easton Corbin back with soaring new single 'Baby Be My Love Song' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Sep 28, 2014 in Music
Country singer Easton Corbin is back with his new single "Baby Be My Love Song" and it is traditional country to the core.
The tune was co-penned by such country songwriters as Jim Collins and Brett James, and it will be featured on his forthcoming third studio album, which is slated for release in early 2015.
Corbin's vocals on "Baby Be My Love Song" are pleasant, refreshing and reminiscent of such country superstars as George Strait and Alan Jackson. It is an uplifting and infectious country single. "Baby be my melody, My little feel good that gets to me, Don't be shy baby, set it free, Crank it up, hit me way down deep," Corbin sings.
While his previous radio single, "Clockwork," was a Top 35 hit on the country charts, peaking at No. 32, "Baby Be My Love Song" should propel him a lot higher due to its radio-friendly nature.
The Verdict
Very few male country artists today are releasing high-quality traditional country songs, but Easton Corbin is one of them. He deserves a great deal of praise for staying humble to his musical roots. His new song "Baby Be My Love Song" garners 4 out of 5 stars.
