article imageReview: Dylan Scott back with catchy new country ballad 'My Girl' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Aug 4, 2015 in Music
Country singer Dylan Scott is back with his latest music video from his "Stripped" series, the charming ballad "My Girl."
It is the follow-up to his music video for "Crazy Over Me," and they were both filmed in black and white.
"My Girl" is a tune that describes the male narrator's female lover, and the positive impact that she has made on his life. "She looks so pretty with no makeup on, You should hear her talking to her mama on the phone, I love it when she raps to an Eminem song, That's my girl," Scott sings, in the opening lyrics, and subsequently goes on to praise his girl's "eyes" that drive him crazy, and her "smile" when she holds a baby.
Scott's baritone vocals are deep, rich and impressive from the first listen. He certainly showcases his southern boy charm on "My Girl." This is a song that any southern belle or country girl would want to have sung to them.
The Verdict
Overall, Dylan Scott's "My Girl" is another well-crafted song that displays his sheer talent as a musical performer. His "Stripped" series is a great way for his fans to experience his music in its purest form. Looking forward to more songs in this series by Scott. "My Girl" garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
