By Markos Papadatos     Nov 11, 2014 in Music
Canadian country rocker Dallas Smith has released his new radio single "Wastin' Gas" and it has everything it takes to become a smash hit.
It is the follow-up to his previous single "Tippin' Point." The new song has a great deal of energy to it and an infectious chorus that will make the listener sing along to it. "Wastin' Gas" is one of those songs that one wants to listen to while rolling their windows down and cruising on the highway, or down the street. This single will be featured on his forthcoming EP Lifted, which will be out on Big Loud Mountain.
Smith is set to embark on his "Tippin' Point" tour in Canada, which will feature such musical guests as Warner Music recording artist Charlie Worsham and Kentucky Best.

The Verdict
Overall, Dallas Smith showcases a lot of charisma on his latest single "Wastin' Gas." His vocals are refreshing and the song has clever and fun lyrics. It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars. It is no wonder that he was nominated for three Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) awards at this year's ceremony, which included "Single of the Year," "Album of the Yea," as well as the coveted "Male Artist of the Year."
