Review: Cover band Jessie’s Girl entertaining at The Paramount (Includes first-hand account)

The tribute band Jessie’s Girl performed for an excellent turnout, which was standing room only on the main floor. It afforded their fans and concertgoers the privilege to dress up in their favorite costumes from the 80s, and reminisce about the good ole days, while listening to some fun classics from the 80s. Even the staff and bartenders at The Paramount were dressed accordingly for the occasion.

The group covered such hit singles as Journey’s “Any Way You Want It” and Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” and The Outfield’s “I Don’t Want To Lose Your Love Tonight,” among many others. One of the favorites was Wham’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.”

The Verdict

Overall, Jessie’s Girl two-hour concert at The Paramount last night was leaps and bound better than their performance at the same venue earlier in the year. This time they were punctual and their opening act was able to deliver as well. They provided two hours of nostalgia by covering these classic hits, and where better to see them than The Paramount. Their show garnered 4 out of 5 stars.
