Review: Chris Cornell soars on new single ‘Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart’ (Includes first-hand account)

As Digital Journal previously reported, his upcoming solo album, Higher Truth, will be out on September 18, and “Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart” is its opening track, as well as its lead single. Brendan O’Brien served as the album’s producer.

His song’s lyric video was directed by Josh Graham, and it may be seen below on his YouTube channel.

Cornell is still able to hit the high notes with ease, and he is able to convey a wide spectrum of emotions through his authentic delivery. “Every single feeling tells me this is leading to a heart, In broken little pieces and you know I need this, Like a hole in the head,” Cornell sings, before it breaks into its neat guitar solos.
