Review: Calum Scott haunting on new Adele ‘When We Were Young’ cover (Includes first-hand account)

Scott’s piano-driven version of Adele’s newest hit is crisp and haunting and will touch the hearts of his listeners. It was filmed and edited by Shoot J Moore, and subsequently mixed and engineered by John McIntyre. The arrangements are distinct and they fit his voice quite well.

The Verdict

Overall, Calum Scott shines on “When We Were Young.” He showcases his wide range as a recording artist, and is able to hit the high notes and make them seem effortless. Scott’s storytelling ability is quite convincing, and he deserves to be the next Sam Smith. His rendition garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
