Country superstar Blake Shelton is back with his stunning new duet, "Lonely Tonight," where he collaborates with label-mate Ashley Monroe.
"Lonely Tonight" was co-written by songwriters Brent Anderson and Ryan Hurd, and released as a single on Warner Music Nashville. The song is a track on Shelton's latest studio album, Bringing Back the Sunshine. It is already in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot Country charts, with the potential to climb higher.
Shelton's baritone vocals are rich and heartfelt. Monroe's gorgeous and angelic harmonies elevate the song to a higher level. Their vocals blend well together and produce a true musical event, that ought to receive some recognition at a future country music awards ceremony.
"I don't wanna be right, I don't wanna be strong, I just wanna hold you 'til the heartbreak's gone," they sing.

Overall, Blake Shelton and Ashley Monroe are an absolute delight on "Lonely Tonight." It deserves the reach the top of the country charts. The duet garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
