article imageReview: Bart Crow and Macy Maloy delight on 'If I Go, I'm Goin'' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Jul 17, 2014 in Music
Texas country artist Bart Crow released his music video for his single "If I Go, I'm Goin'," his collaboration with country songstress Macy Maloy.
The song's music video was filmed in Austin, Texas, where he worked with director Phillip Guzman. It features such actors as Katie Featherston from Paranormal Activity and Austin Hebert from A&E's Bonnie And Clyde and it certainly does a solid job depicting the highs and lows of the couple's relationship (through their arguments and prosperous times). It follows the lyrics of the song well.
"The shingles man they're shaking, The back door's burning through," Crow sings, showcasing his wide vocal range.
A Maypearl, Texas, native, Crow has earned five chart-topping singles on the Texas country charts throughout his career, which include "Run With The Devil," "Dandelion," "Saying Goodbye," "Little Bit of Luck," as well as "Wear My Ring." His new song deserves to be a No. 1 single as well.
"If I Go, I'm Goin'" is a track from his album Dandelion and it is available on Amazon, by clicking here.
The Verdict
Bart Crow displays his rich, baritone vocals as he plays the acoustic guitar, and Maloy's vocals are mesmerizing and haunting, and she blends well with Crow's. They both sing from the heart and you can feel the emotion in this heartfelt ballad. Crow and Maloy stay true to their roots and this is what a call a traditional country "vocal event." They emerge as a modern-day Vince Gill and Patty Loveless, which is as good as it gets in my book. It garners an A rating.
