New York - On July 9, pop star Austin Mahone performed a live iHeartRadio show at the iHeartRadio Theater, presented by P.C. Richard and Son, in New York City.
Z100's radio personality Danielle Monaro made the opening remarks. "Are there any Mahomies in the house?" she asked. "Thank you for being here. It's like Austin is performing in your living room."
Mahone commenced his set with the flirty "Banga Banga," which featured a dance scene with impressive back-flips from his dancers.

It was followed by "Say You're Just a Friend," where the stage was decorated in yellow and orange lights. "Sing it," he said mid-way through the song, encouraging his New York Mahomies to sing along with him. "Make some noise, New York," he screamed.
"Are you ready to have a good time tonight?" Mahone asked. "Me too," he further concurred with his fans who instantly gave him their seal of approval.

He continued with "Shawty Shawty," which had an R&B vibe to it that featured his smooth, rich vocals, as red and blue lights spotlighted the stage. "I love you New York," he exclaimed.
Mahone asked if there were any single girls in the audience, prior to singing his breakthrough hit "Say Somethin'." The tune was catchy and uplifting and he commanded the stage well with his dancers, as he had the fans jumping along.

After a brief dance break, he did a mini acoustic set that featured "Heart In My Hand," as he accompanied himself on acoustic guitar, along with a keyboard player. The fans had their glow-sticks waving in the air. Equally remarkable was the follow-up acoustic vocal "Shadow," yet it is safe to say that he saved the best acoustic tune for last, "You're All I Ever Need," where his voice was crystal clear, in its purest form.
Mahone delivered a noteworthy cover of John Legend's chart-topping love ballad "All of Me," which garnered an enormous response. He acted out some of the lyrics of the song, which resonated well with the fans.

"You guys having fun yet?" he asked, and Mahone picked up the pace by singing "Secret," the title track on his latest EP, as the stage was graced in a red backdrop. The tune had a Backstreet Boys vibe to it ("Larger Than Life"), which was refreshing.
After praising his fans for being "amazing," he immediately broke into "Till I Find You."
It was followed by yet another dance break, which featured a choreography number from his dancers, and he returned to sing "Next To You," as red, yellow and green lights highlighted the iHeartRadio stage. His dancers even assisted Mahone in doing his first flip of the evening.

He went on to perform his smash single "What About Love," as he made himself accessible to fans, by shaking their hands throughout the performance, and he closed with "Mmm Yeah," which displayed his rap vocals.
Pop singer Nick Tangorra was in the audience at this show, and he was gracious enough to take time to pose for photos with several fans (it is evident that Mahomies are fans of his music as well).
The Verdict
Overall, Austin Mahone's iHeartRadio concert in New York was a great deal of fun and his vocals were infectious. His energy, stage presence and love for his fans and craft were apparent. He truly deserves to be the next big pop phenomenon, since he can do it all: sing, wrote songs and dance, and he does all three extremely well. His concert garnered an A rating.
