article imageReview: Amy Grant soars on new single 'Welcome Yourself' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Oct 6, 2014 in Music
Grammy-winning Christian music sensation Amy Grant is back with an empowering new radio single, entitled "Welcome Yourself."
She sang the single for the very first time on national television on NBC's Today Show in New York City. Her moving performance can be seen by clicking here. Grant co-wrote the poignant song with acclaimed singer-songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman.
An award-winning songstress, Grant admitted that she has never made it through this song without crying, but fortunately for the Today Show audience, she was able to deliver a bravura yet beautiful vocal performance. Today Show co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford were in awe of her stunning performance, and I am certain that it struck a chord in the hearts of viewers that were watching at home.
Most impressive about this song is that the majority of its proceeds (80 percent) go towards breast cancer research (the American Cancer Society), in an effort to help find a cure.
