article imageReview: Amber Ferrari versatile on new 'Where Your Wishes Fly' album Special

By Markos Papadatos     May 23, 2016 in Music
On April 30, Long Island songstress Amber Ferrari has released her latest album "Where Your Wishes Fly" and it is a versatile collection.
The album opens with the rocking and spitfire "My Name Is (Karma)," which resonated well with her Long Island fans when she performed it live this past weekend at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall in Wantagh.
Ferrari changes the pace of the CD with the charming title track ballad "Where Your Wishes Fly." Equally gentle and delicate is "Dreamin'," which builds up into a strong vocal performance. "Long Way" is more laid-back and mid-tempo, and she picks up the pace with the sassy "Can't Explain." It closes with one of the highlight tracks of the album, "Plastic Passes," where her vocals are reminiscent of rock queen Pat Benatar.
The Verdict
Overall, Amber Ferrari showcases her diversity as a power-vocalist on this new musical effort Where Your Wishes Fly. There are upbeat songs, ballads, and mid-tempo tunes, and something for an eclectic range of listeners. It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
