New York - Music superstar Adele performed her new song "Million Years Ago" from her new album "25" on the "Today" show on November 25.
This live performance was part of her Citi Concert Series at Rockefeller Center in New York, after her interview with Today show host Matt Lauer.
Adele's vocal performance of "Million Years Ago" was simply divine. She was accompanied by two acoustic guitars, and she allowed her sultry yet powerful voice to do all the talking, while captivating the studio audience and viewers who were tuning in from home.
"And all I can do is watch and cry, I miss the air, I miss my friends, I miss my mother, I miss it when life was a party to be thrown, but that was a million years ago," Adele sings.
The Verdict
Overall, "Million Years Ago" is one of the best songs from Adele's new album, and her live performance on Today explains why it is so touching. It was beautiful, simplistic, nostalgic and expressive. She deserves all of the buzz and attention that she is getting lately, since everything is based on sheer talent. "Million Years Ago" earned an A rating.
