Review: Adele charms on new single ‘Send My Love (To Your New Lover)’ (Includes first-hand account)

“Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” is the latest radio single from Adele’s critically-acclaimed studio album, 25. The song is available today at all digital retailers worldwide. It was co-penned by Adele with her co-producers Max Martin and Shellback.

Adele’s vocals on “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” are upbeat and crisp, and reminiscent of New Zealand music star Lorde (“Royals”).

Her song’s music video will make its worldwide debut on the live broadcast of the 2016 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday May 22, as well as on Vevo. The video was filmed in London, and it was directed by Patrick Daughters.

The British songstress is in the middle of her sold-out Europeans tour, which runs through June 15. She will be headlining this year’s Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom, from June 22 until June 26. Her North American tour will kick off on July 5 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and it will include six concerts at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

The Verdict

Overall, Adele’s new single “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” is definitely a keeper. It earns 4.5 out of 5 stars.
