article imageReview: Adam Lambert magnificent on 'The Original High' studio album Special

By Markos Papadatos     Jun 10, 2015 in Music
Grammy nominated pop star Adam Lambert will release his new studio album on June 16, via Warner Bros. Records, and it is one of the year's best albums.
The Original High opens with his haunting, lead single "Ghost Town," and it is followed by its infectious dance title track "The Original High."
He showcases his vocal prowess on "Another Lonely Night," and "Underground" displays his rich, velvet voice. "Rumors" is a stunning collaboration with acclaimed Swedish songstress Tove Lo.
Speaking of collaborations, "Lucy" is yet another solid tune, where he works with Queen's lead guitarist Brian May.
The recording "Evil In The Night" is as impressive as the live version that he performed at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, as part of KTUphoria on May 31.
His CD closes with "The Light" and the melodically-beautiful "Heavy Fire," thus leaving his "Glambert" fans thirsty for more great music.
The Verdict
Overall, Adam Lambert's latest studio album is sheer perfection. He proves to get better with every release. All of the tracks on this CD are keepers, making it difficult to select a favorite. He is the epitome of top-notch vocal talent. The Original High garners 5 out of 5 stars.
