A-capella group Pentatonix released their new EP, "PTX, Vol.III" this week on RCA Records and it has fared well on the charts.
Their EP catapulted to No. 1 on the iTunes Pop charts and it is already in the Top 5 on the iTunes Main. It consists of seven tracks, which blend global pop songs with indie hits, as well as their original tunes.
Pentatonix also released the music video for "Papaoutai," a collaboration with fiddle virtuoso Lindsey Stirling. This marks their second duet with Stirling, having previously worked with her on their rendition of Imagine Dragon's "Radioactive," which was a commercial success in singles sold and in YouTube views.
Yesterday, they performed on Good Morning America, and they are slated to play on Conan on October 20.
The a-capella band will also be releasing their new holiday album, That's Christmas to Me, on October 21, which will include 11 tracks, as well as a title track penned by the group members themselves.Their holiday project is a blend of holiday classics with seasonal favorites, and their holiday mash-ups with a guest singer.
