Op-Ed: Meghan Trainor should win Grammy award for ‘Best New Artist’

Trainor is nominated along with such artists as Courtney Barnett, rock singer James Bay, country singer Sam Hunt and Tori Kelly.

Best known for her chart-topper “All About That Bass,” Trainor has had success with her follow-up singles “Lips Are Movin’” and “Dear Future Husband.”

Most recently, her Title album was named “Favorite Album” at this year’s People’s Choice Awards.
