By Markos Papadatos     Nov 21, 2014 in Music
Country singer Billy Gilman may have come out of the closet, revealing that he is gay, yet he is still one of music's greatest talents and musicians.
To this day, Gilman possesses one of the most powerful, resonant and crystalline male voices in the country genre of music. He has managed to maintain great control over the tone of his voice. Gilman is still able to amaze in his live shows and leaves his fans and audiences breathless. Anybody who begs to differ, ought to see a YouTube video clip of him performing his signature song "One Voice." He is able to hit the high notes effortlessly.
Speaking of "One Voice," it was a Top 20 hit on country radio, making him the youngest country singer to ever have a Top 40 song on the charts; moreover, it garnered him a Grammy nomination for "Best Male Country Vocal Performance," and the song was in the running for the "Best Country Song" Grammy. Throughout his career, he has sold over five million albums. Gilman made the Guinness Book of World Records for being the youngest singer to ever reach No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Album charts.
Most striking about Gilman is that he has a big heart. He works tirelessly on his philanthropic endeavors and charitable work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
