Office Girls discuss ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’ single (Includes interview)

The all-female group has been together for just under a year. “It’s been quite a roller-coaster but in even just this short time, we’ve had the most incredible experience,” they exclaimed. “For four girls who had never met, we’ve clicked so well and now we’re like sisters.. stolen make-up and all.”

When asked how they were found, the girls responded, “We all came from different backgrounds and we were picked out by two industry professionals to join Office Girls. There were thousands of young girls who auditioned and we feel so lucky to be here. The concept was originally based on creating a real-life girl band, a group who represent all women around the world; who have imperfections, are different shapes and sizes, but really are proud to be who they are. We all came from office or education backgrounds and want to show people that they can trade in the desk for the stage and make their dreams a reality.”

Their first original single was “Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is,” which actually landed them at No. 8 in the U.K. singer-songwriter charts on the first day of release, and No. 6 in the New Music Pop chart. “It was amazing for us to finally get the chance to share our music with the world and put pop back into pop music. We wanted to show people our fun and flirty side to remind you guys we don’t take ourselves too seriously,” they said.

Their message to the world is “to be proud of who you are.” “We want people to know it doesn’t matter what you do or how big your dream is, nothing is impossible. We truly believe that every person is equal and deserves an equal opportunity in this world. Diversity is beautiful and our mission is to create a world where our difference are not only accepted but celebrated,” they said.

Regarding their future plans, they concluded, “We want to continue on our school tour of the U.K. inspiring and motivating young people, but we want to take this revolution to a global level and take our message out into the world.”
