Nora En Pure talks Australian tour, dance music, remixes (Includes interview)

Regarding her Australian tour, she said, “It was another amazing trip to Australia, especially Melbourne and Sydney, as I am experiencing a strong following which makes me very happy and the shows get even better every time! Also the stay in Fiji was exceptional. I was so impressed with it’s natural beauty and the vibe of the whole ‘YOUR PARADISE’ festival was another level.”

She will be performing in Mumbai on Dec. 5. “I just came back from Dubai now and I greatly enjoyed it. The location was on the beach but with the beautiful Dubai skyline backdrop. The upcoming weekend I’ll be in Delhi and Mumbai. Last time, I was there it was small and familiar but a spectacular vibe. I loved the positivity there and if people welcome me this way I am more than happy to try and give it all back,” she said.

Nora En Pure continued, “I hope 2016 will hold in some great festival plays, musically I would wish to find more time to bring out more tracks. I am lucky enough to tour already around the whole world so I can not wish for much more. I take life as it comes and enjoy the journey.”

Regarding electronic dance music, she said, “I love music in general, not particularly electronic dance music. However it was the genre I had the most chance to make a living out of. No seriously it’s a fast developing industry. That makes it challenging but also very interesting. With the immense growth of popularity of electronic music it’s important to always pick up trends. In the same time this gives you the opportunity to set trends yourself if you have your unique style and sound.”

On the creation of her mixes, she said, “For my mixes I always look for tracks that somehow touch me. Either they give me the idea of chilling somewhere at the beach and doing nothing, or they have a particular sound to it which makes it standout. It depends very much on the day! One day I’ll be extremely picky and I barely like any track. Another day I can listen to the same set of tracks and all of a sudden it appears to me as a great track… In the end, I approach mixes similarly as when I create my own tracks. I want to arouse certain feelings in the listener, from positive, tropical, bouncy deep to melancholia and back.”

For her fans, she expressed, “I am grateful for all the support and feedback I receive through different means. I hope to get around all the different places at some stage, even if it is only for one fan that lives there. Every single one contributed in to me living my passion and that’s an incredible gift.”

On the future of electronic dance music, she said, “At the moment it is super trendy, but as fast this came, it can also go again. Let’s see what happens. I am sure there will always be demand for electronic music, however with the streaming platforms getting the main lead in this industry I can imagine that club music will experience some new challenges again.”
