Pop singer-songwriter and dancer Mohombi chatted about his new single "Movin'" and its inception. He also discussed his album "Universe."
Regarding the song selection process for his new CD Universe, he remarked, "As a songwriter, I write new songs almost everyday. Picking tracks for my album was not easy as I had many to choose from. But I finally went for the ones that are currently representing my musical universe."
The creation of his single "Movin'" started out in Paris with the RedOne Camp and ended at the Hit Factory in Miami with Cash Money. "My 'Universe' is huge and 'Movin'' is just the first planet I invite you to land on," he said.
He noted that his new album has an "afrop-pop" theme. "That’s me, black and white, colorful and colorblind. I create music that can build bridges between people, countries and continents," he explained.
While he does not have a personal favorite song on the new album, he admitted that he honestly finds "a new favorite every time," he listens to the full album.
On his plans for the future, he stated, "I am a Dancefloor Soldier on a mission: world domination! I've traveled around the world to recruit. Today we are millions and still growing. Love is the cause and music is the weapon."
For his fans, he concluded, "Gather up Soldiaz! The Show must go on! One Love."
