Pop music sensation Meghan Trainor has a major milestone to celebrate. She has topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts this week.
Her breakthrough single "All About That Bass" accomplished this feature on the Billboard charts, after charting for nine weeks. She even dethroned global music star Taylor Swift's chart-topping hit "Shake It Off" doing so.
Trainor's single has received a top-notch review from Digital Journal, and she subsequently made our list of Top 10 pop music acts of watch in 2014. It turns out we were right.
Her song has emerged as an anthem of female empowerment and rightfully so. She has inspired her fans to feel good about their bodies, as well as be comfortable in their own skin.
As Digital Journal reported, Trainor will be playing with all-female group Fifth Harmony at The Paramount in Long Island on Tuesday, September 23.
