Meghan Trainor: Queen of Billboard charts with ‘Title’ album

At 21 years old, Trainor made headlines this year thanks to the success of her ubiquitous single “All About That Bass,” which stayed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for eight weeks, as well as her subsequent single “Lips Are Movin.” It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars from Digital Journal.

Trainor’s breakthrough album has sold in excess of 230,000 copies in both digital and physical formats. It was released via her record label, Epic Records. As a result, both her debut single and album has both topped the Billboard charts. She is the 13th female artist in music history to accomplish this feature, along with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, among others.

Most recently, Trainor performed at the “Ultimate Tailgate Party,” along with Nick Jonas, at Best Buy Theater in Times Square, New York, for such radio stations as 95.5 PLJ, as well as Nash FM 94.7.
