Allentown - Pop singer-songwriter Matt Ryanz opened up about his upcoming concert next week for "Pride in the Park" in Pennsylvania.
On August 17, the "It's Love to Me" singer will be a part of "Pride in the Park" Lehigh Valley in at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he will be sharing the stage for Bianca Del Rio. "Bianca was the Season 6 winner of 'RuPaul's Drag Race,' which is a show that is broadcast nationally. She is going to be headlining the show, and I am co-headlining it with her," Ryanz said.
He shared that approximately 5,000 people will be expected to show up at this show. "It's the biggest pride event in that area. It's one of the bigger festivals for the LGBT community," he said.
A few weeks prior, Ryanz played for the "Pride Alive" festival at Green Bay in Wisconsin, which is one of the largest pride festivals of that state. "I performed with Mary Lambert there and it was an amazing show. We had an incredible turnout," he said.
Lambert is best known for co-writing and for providing the vocals on "Same Love," which was made famous by hip-hop duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.
Ryanz revealed that his upcoming show will feature the same songs that he sang live at Green Bay, which include his latest single "It's Love to Me," as well as covers of songs by such artists as Britney Spears and Steve Grand, the latter of which he gives his viral hit "All-American Boy," his own uptempo, synth-focused twist. "Steve actually saw my cover of his song and he mentioned it on Twitter to me, which was really sweet of him to acknowledge it. He is such a great guy," he said. "We are basically doing the exact same show that we are doing in Green Bay, and those are the two covers that I do, and we want to share it with a new audience in Allentown, and we hope it is a big success."
