Matt Nathanson to perform at Jones Beach, to open for Train

Nathanson will be opening for rock band Train which features Pat Monahan on lead vocals, as part of their “Picasso at the Wheel” tour, and he will be sharing the stage with The Fray.

On June 19, they will be bringing their show to upstate New York in Saratoga Springs, at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

He has a new single out, entitled “Gold In the Summertime,” which ought to be the summer anthem of 2015. According to a post on his official YouTube channel, Nathanson noted that he had always wanted a song like this, especially due to its “super-hard grooves.” He subsequently noted that it has a “70s soul” vibe to it, with a killer “bass line.” For Nathanson, “Gold In the Summertime” is a celebration, especially since it allows the listener to take it all in.

Nathanson is signed to Vanguard Records, and his new album will be coming out soon. His smash single “Come On Get Higher” was a Top 3 hit on the Billboard adult contemporary charts, and it was certified platinum in the United States and gold in Canada.
