article imageMartina McBride up for 2014 'CMA Female Vocalist of the Year'

Martina McBride has a major reason to celebrate. She is in the running for the 2014 CMA award for "Female Vocalist of the Year."
A Kansas native, McBride has been crowned "Female Vocalist of the Year" by the Country Music Association (CMA) four times throughout her career, which spans well over two decades in the country genre of music.
"I am so happy and grateful to be nominated for CMA Female Vocalist of The Year! I did NOT see that one coming! It's just the icing on the cake of the past few months of releasing Everlasting and doing this tour.....having fun and finding freedom in what I do," McBride posted on her Facebook page.
This past April, with her Everlasting CD, McBride topped the Billboard Hot Country Albums charts. This was an impressive milestone since she released that album independently. It went on to receive rave reviews from fans and critics, including Digital Journal.
Congratulations to Martina McBride on her latest CMA nomination. It is a true testament to her longevity in the industry and how she continues to record music that is fresh and relevant to her listeners.
She will be performing at The NYCB Theatre at Westbury on October 9, as part of her Everlasting tour.
