Acclaimed pop-rock group Maroon 5 has just released "Animals," the sophomore single from their forthcoming fifth studio album "V."
The multi-platinum and three-time Grammy-winning band will be releasing their highly-anticipated album V on September 2, via their record label, Interscope Records. Their new single "Animals" was co-written by Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine, as well as Benny Blanco and Shellback the latter of which produced the track.
Their lead single from their latest studio offering, "Maps," has reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, peaking at No. 6. It had set a record for the highest debut on the Top 40 charts by a group in 18 years.
Over the course of their career, Maroon 5 has sold over 17 million albums worldwide, and they have had albums certified gold and platinum in over 35 countries.
They have won their fans and critics' support thanks to their sound, which is a blend of pop, rock and R&B, and they are known for such hit singles as "This Love," "She Will Be Loved," "Sunday Morning," "Makes Me Wonder," as well as their multi-week No. 1 single "Moves Like Jagger," where they collaborate with pop songstress Christina Aguilera, which has become of the best-selling singles of all-time. In 2013 alone, Maroon 5 had one of the highest-grossing tours, with well over $50 million dollars in ticket sales.
Aside from his work in the band, Adam Levine is a coach and mentor on the reality singing competition, The Voice.
