By Markos Papadatos     Dec 6, 2014 in Music
Lee Ann Womack has a major reason to celebrate. She has earned a Grammy nomination for "Best Country Album" for her latest project.
The songstress was sleeping when she found out about the news that The Way I'm Livin' garnered this prestigious Grammy nomination. It was released on her new label, Sugar Hill Records.
Her album was well-received by Digital Journal, where it was named "Best Country Album of the Year." She was subsequently praised for having one of the ten most angelic female voices.
Most recently the songstress co-hosted this year's International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards with dobro virtuoso Jerry Douglas.
When she found out the great news, Womack remarked in a press release, "I didn't even remember it was today. But man, this sure makes me feel like real music still matters, that all these wonderful players and songwriters who write to tell stories, to show life all splintered and rough, and honestly, the kind of country music I love have a place in this world."
