Alternative rock band KONGOS will be on tour this summer with Grammy-winning group Kings of Leon as part of their "Mechanical Bull Tour."
The tour commences on July 31 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis, Missouri and it runs through October 3, where it wraps up at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The alternative rock band that consists of four brothers: Johnny, Jesse, Dylan and Daniel Kongos. They spent their childhoods in the such cities as London and South Africa. They are signed to Epic Records and they are scheduled to play dates with Alice in Chains, as well as such festival shows as Firefly, Sasquatch and Lollapalooza.
Their first single in the United States, "Come With Me Now," spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Alternative Radio charts, becoming the quickest song to reach the top of these charts by a new band, and it is making its way up the Top 40 charts. It is a track from their latest album Lunatic.
They have been hailed by Rolling Stone as one of "10 New Artists You Need To Know," as well as USA Today as an artist "On The Verge" and by VH1's "You Oughta Know" artist for the month of May.
On August 13, they will be playing a show at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in New York, where they will open for Kings of Leon.
