Westbury - Country Music Hall of Famer Kenny Rogers will be bringing his annual Christmas tour at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on December 23.
This marks his tour's 33rd anniversary of "Christmas & Hits Through the Years." He will be joined by special guest artist, Grammy winner Linda Davis. It kicks off on November 12 in Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada, at The Avalon Ballroom Theatre, and it wraps up on December 23 in Westbury, Long Island.
The country living legend is nominated for a 2014 Country Music Association (CMA) award, along with country queen Dolly Parton for "Musical Event of the Year" for their bittersweet collaboration "You Can't Make Old Friends."
Throughout his career, he has sold over 120 million albums worldwide; moreover, he has charted a record within each of the past seven decades, which an impressive feature. Rogers has had 12 chart-topping albums, 24 No. 1 singles, and is the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) 8th best-selling male artist of all-time. His mantel holds such awards as three Grammys, 11 People's Choice Awards, 18 American Music Awards (AMAs), six Country Music Association (CMA) awards, as well as eight Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards, the latter of which include a win for the coveted "Entertainer of the Year."
