article imageJustin Moore crowned 'New Artist of the Year' at ACM awards

By Markos Papadatos     Apr 7, 2014 in Music
Valory Music Company recording country artist Justin Moore won the "New Artist of the Year" Academy of Country Music (ACM) award on April 6.
The award was presented by Kohl's and handed out to him by label-mates Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley from the country duo Florida Georgia Line. Justin bested out fellow nominees Kip Moore and Brett Eldredge. Particularly impressive about this honor was that it was fan-voted.
In his emotional acceptance speech, he remarked, "I was beginning to think there might be a height requirement for this award."
Moore went on to accept this award on behalf of everybody at his record label and his management, all of his fans, as well as country radio for giving him "a voice and taking a chance on a hillbilly from Arkansas."
He concluded by thanking his wife, who was with him at the award show, and his two beautiful daughters that are back home. "I love ya'll," he said teary-eyed. "Thank you, I will never forget this."
