article imageJoe Nichols tops country charts with 'Yeah'

By Markos Papadatos     Jul 17, 2014 in Music
There is only one word that can describe Joe Nichols' most recent country music chart success: "Yeah," and ironically enough that is the title of his latest No. 1 single.
After charting for 27 weeks, it reached the top of the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, for the week of July 26. Last week, the song sat at No. 5, before it catapulted to No. 1, which was quite the jump.
This marks Nichols' second back-to-back single (after "Sunny and 75") from his latest album, the critically-acclaimed Crickets, that was released on Red Bow Records. "Yeah" was co-produced by such producers as Mickey Jack Cones and Tony Brown.
This coincides with his latest digital milestone, where Nichols surpassed 1 million likes on his Facebook page.
Nichols will be playing a show on July 27 at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York, along with country singer Billy Currington as part of Lady Antebellum's "Take Me Downtown" tour.
