Jennifer Nettles leads 2016 Outnumber Hunger campaign‏ in a partnership with Big Machine Label Group, General Mills and Feeding America.
This is a nationwide effort that fights hunger in America, with country star Jennifer Nettles as this year's spokesperson.
Nettles noted in a press statement that being "the face of this year's campaign is exciting," especially since it can help people that are facing hunger in their local communities, simply by entering a code, which secures meals for their local food bank. She will featured on the box of more than 150 General Mills products, which include Cheerios and Lucky Charms.
President & CEO of the Big Machine Label Group, Mr. Scott Borchetta, remarked, "We are passionate about fighting hunger and using bigger platforms to make a difference in lives across the country."
Nettles is best known as one half of the Grammy-winning country duo, Sugarland, but she is also a triple threat in the industry. She is a singer, songwriter and actress, who most recently played Dolly Parton's mother on NBC's Coat of Many Colors bio-pic. Her latest radio single, "Unlove You," is the lead track from her second solo studio album, Playing With Fire.
This year's featured artists from the Big Machine Label Group include Nettles, Reba McEntire, country duo Florida Georgia Line, Justin Moore, Thomas Rhett, country duo Maddie & Tae, as well as Cassadee Pope and American Idol winner Nick Fradiani.
