article imageJeff Bridges to play concert at The Paramount in New York

By Markos Papadatos     Aug 13, 2014 in Music
Huntington - Jeff Bridges and his band, The Abiders, will be touring this summer, and one of their stops will be in Long Island, New York.
On Friday, August 29, they will be playing at The Paramount in Huntington, where his daughter, Jessie Bridges will be his special musical guest, who is a talented singer-songwriter in her own right.
Aside from being an Academy Award-winning actor, Bridges released his sophomore self-titled studio album on August 16, 2011, on Blue Note Records and EMI Records. It featured a roster of esteemed songwriters and musicians and it was produced by Grammy-winning record producer T Bone Burnett. Bridges either wrote or co-wrote three out of the album's ten tracks, and the CD was well-received, earning positive reviews from music critics.
This album was a follow-up to Bridge's Oscar-winning performance of veteran country singer "Bad" Blake in the 2009 film Crazy Heart, where he sang such songs as "Hold On You," "Somebody Else," "Fallin' and Flyin'" (as a collaboration with actor Colin Farrell), "I Don't Know," and "Brand New Angel," all of which are featured on the movie's Grammy-winning soundtrack album, Crazy Heart: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.
Bridges is an American treasure in one way or another, and he is worth seeing live. For more information on obtaining tickets for his show at The Paramount, visit the venue's homepage, by clicking here.
