Doug Gray is the lead singer of the iconic southern rock group,The Marshall Tucker Band. He opened up about their upcoming concerts in New Jersey and New York.
The Marshall Tucker Band will be playing at Englewood, New Jersey, at the Bergen Performing Arts Center on March 20. "That is a beautiful place," he exclaimed. "We have never played there, but they tell me the sound quality and everything else is really good."
They will also be playing at The Paramount in Huntington, New York, on March 21. "Huntington is going to be great," he remarked. "The Paramount is always a great place for us. The last time we played there was over the top. I was amazed by the turnout the last time."
This past December, they performed at B.B. Kings Blues Club in New York City and rock and soul songstress Twinkle served as their opening act. "Twinkle is very, very, very talented," he said. "She is a really nice person as well and I'm sure she will doing shows with us again in the future."
Most recently, a contestant (Patrick Thomson) on the reality singing competition, The Voice, performed their signature song "Can't You See," which subsequently landed him a spot on Team Adam (Levine). "We are so proud of that gentleman for picking that song. That was over the top, especially when people appreciate you so much. That is certainly a tribute and a blessing," Gray said. "43 years is a long time for a song to be around. 'Can't You See' is a southern song that people from all over the world recognize. I think he did a great job."
