Interview: MaRLo talks Miami, Electric Daisy and Paul van Dyk (Includes interview)

Regarding this year’s Winter Music Conference in Miami, MaRLo said, “Everybody is here at the same time, at the same place. It’s amazing to be around friends and other DJs.”

On Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in New York’s Citi Field this May, MaRLo said, “I am really excited. I have a lot of new songs that people haven’t heard before, and I also have re-edited some classics that I really love. I always try and bring a whole new set every time I play.”

His plans for the future include to headline his own solo stadium shows in Australia, where he is ranked as the country’s top trance DJ. “That’s awesome. The people in Australia have been so supportive of my music and my sound,” MaRLo said.

He had nothing but the greatest remarks for Greece, especially the island of Mykonos. “I loved Greece, and all the food and the architecture of all the white buildings with the blue ocean in the background. It is so gorgeous. The people there are warm and friendly,” MaRLo said.

MaRLo listed electronic music queen Emma Hewitt as his dream female collaboration choice. “Emma is a really good friend of mine, and I can’t believe we haven’t done a track together,” MaRLo said.

His latest radio single is “Titans,” which may be seen below.

He concluded by saying kind words about fellow DJ and producer Paul van Dyk. “I really hope he gets well soon, but I wish him all the best. He’s a great guy, and he is just a pioneer of the dance scene,” MaRLo said.
