Interview: Idol winner Nick Fradiani talks ‘Get You Home’ single (Includes interview)

On his steamy new music video for “Get You Home,” he said, “It was definitely cool to see it come out. We had filmed it a few weeks ago. We have gotten a pretty good response. Everything is moving in the right direction.”

The video was directed by Erik White and it was filmed at the Virgin Hotel in downtown Chicago. He co-wrote the song with Jaden Michaels, Matt Parad, Nolan Sipe, Ryan Williamson, Matt Dike, Ross Mike, Luther Rabb, Jim Walters and Marvin Young.

Regarding his plans for the future, Fradiani said, “Life is good right now. I am staying busy and I live in Nashville now. Things are moving in the right direction. My album is officially all finished and it is coming out in August. It has a lot of good music and I just can’t wait to get it to everybody.”

His Idol coronation song, “Beautiful Life,” served as the anthem for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

At this year’s American Idol season finale, Fradiani performed a tribute for the late music legend David Bowie along with Kris Allen, Phillip Phillips, Lee DeWyze and David Cook. “That was bad-ass. That was so exciting. When I got the e-mail from my manager to participate in the finale, I was excited just about that. When I heard they were doing a Bowie tribute with five past winners all on one stage, I thought that was incredible. It did work out though. It was a good idea and I was happy that it came together so well,” he said.
