article imageInterview: Country duo Waterloo Revival talks new country album Special

By Markos Papadatos     Feb 27, 2016 in Music
Cody Cooper and George Birge from the country duo Waterloo Revival chatted with Digital Journal about their new album, which will be out soon.
For the duo, the song selection process for the new CD was the hardest part of putting together the record. "We had so many songs, so were narrowing down from 100 songs," Birge said. "We picked some of our favorites, and we called our friends and other people and management to help us narrow it down to nine songs."
They both selected "That Damn I Didn't Give" as their personal favorite track on the album. "That was the first song that we wrote when we moved to Nashville," Cooper said. "We were still learning how to write songs with other co-writers, and the three of us sat down on weekend and wrote it with three cups of coffee, and it stood the test of time against everything, which is really cool," Birge added.
Waterloo Revival shared that they are stoked to be playing the Grand Ole Opry again. "This will be our third time, and hopefully, we could breathe and enjoy it and take it all in," Birge said.
This year, Waterloo Revival will be out on the road touring, thus bringing their new music to their fans.
