Interview: Brian Justin Crum talks ‘America’s Got Talent,’ future (Includes interview)

Regarding his “America’ Got Talent” experience, Crum said, “It has been very surreal. I have been working for this for a very long time. It’s amazing, how in one night, every can change. It has been so amazing to have all the love and people reaching out from all over the world to congratulate me.”

The gracious singer continued, “The feedback was awesome, and it was validation for how hard I’ve been working. I’ve always believe that this was my calling, and I’ve always believed in myself. Having those people on America’s Got Talent validate that meant everything to me.”

Each day, Crum is motivated by the social media messages that he is receiving from the youth, especially the LGBT youth. “I have been so lucky to receive thousands and thousands of messages, and every day, I am spending hours and hours of time responding to everyone, because I think this is a very important time for the world, and I want to put a positive stamp on it,” he said. “That is what inspires me every morning to get up. To show kids that things get better and things get amazing, if you work hard and focus on what your passion is. The sky’s the limit.”

He listed Beyonce, Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Jessie J as his dream female duet choices, and speaking of Jessie J, he covered her song “Thunder” on his YouTube channel, which may be seen below.

Crum is also involved with Rest In Pride (#‎RestInPRIDE), a video campaign that honors the lives that were lost at the nightclub, Pulse, in Orlando, Florida. He defined success as “Being able to wake up every morning and doing what I love to do. To inspire, to believe and to dream.”
