This musical effort features four songs, which include live recordings of Jimi Hendrix’s “Manic Depression,” as well as Peter Gabriel’s “Don’t Give Up.” In addition, Wilson wrote two tracks, which include the folk-inspired “Fightin Fer Life” and the closing tune “Anguish,” which has a bluesy vibe to it. Guitarist Craig Bartok co-penned both of these original songs with Wilson. Her EP will be available at all physical retailers on August 12.
A Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Wilson is announcing a solo mini-tour in three venues in Florida, in support of this solo project. As a lyricist and songwriter, she has penned some of the biggest rock classics including “Crazy on You,” “Barracuda,” “Magic Man,” “Dreamboat Annie,” “Dog & Butterfly,” “Straight On,” and “Even It Up,” among many others.
Her previous solo EP, that was released this past fall, garnered a rave review from Digital Journal.
