Award-winning country duo Florida Georgia Line will kick off their "This Is How We Roll" summer tour on May 30 in Springdale, Arkansas.
They will play in select baseball stadiums and it feature their special guest, Grammy-winning rapper Nelly and country singer Chris Lane as their opening act. They are currently playing show dates with country superstar Jason Aldean as part of his "Night Train" tour.
"Last year we played the ballpark in Lexington, Kentucky and it was an epic night," Brian Kelley remarked in a press release. "We thought how fun would it be to hit several of these and bring the good times to the field!"
Tyler Hubbard added, "Summer can't get here fast enough. Having Nelly and Chris along for the ride is going to make for one big, outdoor party!"
Over the past 1.5 years, Florida Georgia Line has secured four multi-week No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts for such hits as "Cruise," "Get Your Shine On," "Round Here" and "Stay."
They hold the record for having the longest No. 1 single in the history of the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts with "Cruise," which has sold almost 6.8 million downloads in the United States and was subsequently named the "best-selling digital country single of all-time," according to SoundScan.
At this year's Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards, the duo garnered four nominations in such categories as "Vocal Duo of the Year," "Album of the Year," "Single of the Year" for "Cruise," as well as "Vocal Event of the Year," for their collaboration with Nelly on "Cruise." The awards show will take place on April 6 and it will be televised on CBS.
As Digital Journal previously reported, Florida Georgia Line is involved with General Mill's "Outnumber Hunger" campaign in partnership with the Big Machine Label Group, in an effort to help local food banks.
