As Digital Journal
reported, they were named "MTV Artist to Watch," where they bested 5 Seconds of Summer's "She Looks So Perfect," Charli XCX's "Boom Clap," Schoolboy Q's "Man of the Year" and Sam Smith's "Stay with Me."
The members of the all-female group went to their
Twitter page to share their excitement, to their fans which they affectionately dub as "Harmonizers". "OMG! This is SO incredible! Cannot believe we just won 2014 #ArtistToWatch!! Thank you so much Harmonizers!" they exclaimed in a
tweet.
"We are still so overwhelmed! Harmonizers you guys are seriously the BEST!!" they added in a subsequent tweet.
At the pre-show,
Fifth Harmony sang their newest single "Boss," which was hosted by
Lucy Hale.
