article imageFifth Harmony up for 'New Artist to Watch' MTV VMA

By Markos Papadatos     Jul 18, 2014 in Music
All-female group Fifth Harmony is up for a 2014 MTV Video Music Award (VMA) for their "Miss Movin' On" music video. They were the third place finalists on the second season of "The X Factor."
In this category, they are nominated along with 5 Seconds of Summer's "She Looks So Perfect," Charli XCX's "Boom Clap," Schoolboy Q's "Man of the Year" and finally, Sam Smith's "Stay with Me."
On July 25, Fifth Harmony will be touring with teen pop superstar Austin Mahone as part of his summer tour. Funnily enough, Mahone took home the MTV "New Artist to Watch" award last year for his "What About Love" music video.
At this year's Radio Disney Music awards, Fifth Harmony took home the two awards that they were nominated for, such as "Breakout Artist" and "Best Song To Rock Out To With Your BFF," and they performed their hit single "Miss Movin' On" on the award show.
Digital Journal had the chance to speak with Normani and Lauren from the group, and my interview may be seen by clicking here.
