On her forthcoming Taylor Swift tribute show at Mulcahy’s on September 10, she said, “I am excited. I’ve never played in New York before, so it is definitely exciting. I am in Branson, Missouri, doing 12 shows a week, and I will be wrapping up here in the middle of August. Then, I will get ready for the show in New York, and we will be ready to rock out.”
A South Carolina native, Scarborough revealed that she is originally from Charleston. She first got into Taylor Swift’s music back in October of 2006, when her breakthrough studio album, Taylor Swift, was released, and she has been hooked ever since. “I have never met Ms. Swift, but I would love to. I am such a huge fan. I’m a Swiftie,” she admitted.
She listed “All Too Well” as her personal favorite song of Swift’s, which is off her Red album. “I think the lyrics are beautiful, and melodically, it is composed extremely well, and it encompasses why she is famous for writing those love ballads,” Scarborough said.
At Mulcahy’s, she noted that her set-list will span 90 minutes, and it will include such songs as “Bad Blood,” “Mean,” “Fearless,” “Love Story,” “Tim McGraw,” “Teardrops On My Guitar,” as well as her own favorite album cuts of Swift’s. “We will go down memory lane with all of her hits,” she said.
