Dylan Scott talks ‘Thinking Out Loud’ cover and new music (Includes interview)

For Scott, hearing his song “Lay It On Me” on the radio airwaves is one feeling that never gets old. “It feels good. Getting in your truck in certain times of the day and night, and realizing that it’s my song on the radio. It’ll take it,” he said.

Regarding his cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” which has gone viral, Scott said, “That was something that I never expected to happen. It was pretty awesome. We decided to shoot a video, and go in the studio and recorded it. It was pretty cool and it happened naturally,” he said.

Scott’s version of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” is available on iTunes, by clicking here.

He is in the studio hard at work on his new music. “Hopefully, we will get a big hit on the radio with our next single,” Scott said. “I hope to get an album out for the fans, since everybody has been asking for it. I want to have a good time on stage each night.”

Each day, Scott is motivates by his “buddies, manager, everybody at Curb Records,” as well as his parents and family. “That is what keeps me going. Life is about being happy, whether it is making music in the studio, or playing basketball with my buddies. That’s what keeps my drive going,” he said.
