Dustin Lynch talks ‘Hell of a Night’ single and headlining tour (Includes interview)

“What a great year it has been,” Lynch said, reflecting on 2015. “Being out with Luke Bryan and all that good stuff. He is a great guy and I have learned so much from him. He has been so kind and he took me under his wind, even off the stage. He is just a good friend. That is not something I expected at all, so we really hit it off.”

His latest single “Hell of a Night” is already in the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, and climbing. “What a perfect timing for us. It has taken off during the last part of the summer, and to announce our headlining tour has been a blessing,” he said. “It’s a great time to have a song in the Top 5 right now. I have always loved the tune, and from the moment I heard it, I was afraid somebody else would get to go to the studio and record it, but luckily we got to hang on to it and record it. It’s great for the live show, and when the opening riff hits, the place just erupts, and there is no better feeling.”

Lynch praised his producer Mickey Jack Cones for collaborating with him on the project. “Mickey Jack is great. We have already started listening and writing for our third album. We love to get started early. The success of ‘Hell of a Night’ at radio has really opened the door and has allowed us to explore that avenue a little further for our third album, so that is exciting too,” he said.

On December 11, Lynch will be performing at The Paramount in Huntington on Long Island, as part of his headlining tour. “It’s going to be exciting to get back to town. By a look at the ticket sales and the meet and greets already we have a great ball in there, and our goal is to fill it out, and we are well on our way. What a fun thing,” he said.

Lynch will be performing at Irving Plaza in the heart of New York City on the following day, December 12. “I am excited to see what that is like,” he said, prior to complimenting his opening act, fellow country singer Chris Lane. “I have been following Chris Lane for years, even before I had a record deal. There is something to this guy. We puts on an incredible live show, and he brings a lot of energy to the stage. His music is edgy and exciting. He will work the crowd before we even get out there,” he said.
