Belgian DJ Yves V debuted at No. 55 this year on DJ Magazine's Top 100 poll, which was quite an impressive feature, as he towered over many industry veterans.
In 2011, Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike made their debut on DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJ poll, and three years later, they reached No. 2 (only second to DJ Hardwell, who reclaimed his throne for the second consecutive year).
This year, the baton is passed on to Belgian DJ, Yves V, who catapulted to No. 55. He has been a part of the Tomorrowland stage since 2007, and he is the only Belgian dance producer to continuously appear on that main stage. His remix of "Insane Pressure" in 2009 was a commercial success in his country and it received extended airplay.
It was reported via a press release that Yves V was in Brussels when he found out about his ranking on the Top 100 list, as he closed out the concert by EDM star David Guetta. "I've never started a DJ set in such a great mood and I think that the audience could tell, I was practically glowing with happiness. It truly warms my heart to receive so much recognition from my fans who voted for me, it's acknowledgement of my work and a boost for my musical career," Yves V said in the press statement.
Yves V chatted with Digital Journal this past May, and that interview can be seen by clicking here.
