Dixie Chicks to kick off North American summer tour in June

Their summer DCX MMXVI World Tour, which is produced by Live Nation, will feature over 40 stops in America and Canada, including a show at New York’s City Madison Square Garden on June 13. It kicks off on June 1, 2016 at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ever since their debut in the music scene, the Dixie Chicks has been one of the most influential and best-selling bands of our time. Their Wide Open Spaces and Fly albums have been certified diamond for sales of over 10 million units.

Throughout their career, the Dixie Chicks have sold over 30 million albums worldwide, and they have earned a total of 13 Grammy awards. Their smash single “Not Ready To Make Nice,” which they co-wrote, crossed over into the pop and adult contemporary music world, snagging Grammy wins for “Record of the Year” and “Song of the Year,” while it also took home the award for “Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.”

“Not Ready To Make Nice” was a track on their critically-acclaimed album, Taking the Long Way, which was named “Album of the Year” and “Country Album of the Year” by the Grammy awards in 2007.
